STRATEGIC IMPACT
We are a non-governmental, non-political organization born out of a vision to democratize climate education. Launching in 2013, ICCDI emerged to fill a void: the lack of youth representation in environmental governance. Over the last decade, we have grown into an expertly staffed institution, identifying key development issues affecting populations in Nigeria. Through creative dialogues and innovations, we present African solutions on the global stage, challenging the status quo and demanding actionable results.
ICCDI Africa stands at the intersection of policy and people. Founded by young professionals, we recognized early on that resilience cannot be imported—it must be co-created.
OUR MANDATE Our strategic direction is governed by a singular focus: transforming the climate narrative from one of despair to one of actionable opportunity for African youth. We operate with precision to ensure every project aligns with this mandate.
To build a climate-smart generation and a sustainable effort in Africa by identifying local realities, engage relevant stakeholders, proffer sustainable solutions and present them on the global stage for actionable steps towards mitigating effects of climate change.

Our work is structured around four key pillars. Through education and capacity building, we give youth the tools to lead. Through advocacy, we give them a voice. By networking, we amplify their impact. This is how we are building a climate-smart generation, one project at a time.
We engage directly with governments to shape climate-smart policies that protect the vulnerable.
We provide the tools and knowledge needed to turn young people into skilled climate professionals.
We use the power of social media to inform, connect, and mobilize a continent-wide audience.
We get our hands dirty. We work directly in local communities to implement tangible solutions.
COMMUNITY-FIRST ACTION We believe that no single organization can solve the climate crisis alone. By partnering with entities like UN Environment and local NGOs, we leverage collective strengths to deliver sustainable development across the continent.
